It is clear in data coming from numerous sources including the Global Wellness Institute, the international Wellness Tourism Association and major hotel companies mandating in-house research, consumers will continue to seek out experiences which are personal and provide connectivity, and those that afford environments of serenity to recharge and return home refreshed.
For example, Hilton Hotels & Resorts recently published the results of their global travellers’ survey conducted by the hotel company and Ipsos. Key take away is once again stressing the value of a good night’s rest “with a majority across all generations indicating their No. 1 reason to travel in 2024 will be to rest and recharge, with more emphasis on sleep than ever before”.

The Importance of Sleep
Sleep – it’s one of the key pillars to our longevity and vitality. Everyone from Oprah, Deepak, and Dr. Mark Hyman, to hotels, resorts and all-inclusive retreats tout the benefits of rest and a great night of sleep. Sleep can change everything, as explained in a recent article in the respected online magazine, wellspa360.
No matter our age, sleep is precious. Wrapping up the emphasis towards the benefits and health concerns affected by sleep, if you haven’t yet, please do listen to Wellness Travel BC’s recent podcast with Certified Life Coach, Catherine Roscoe Barr of The Life Delicious (shown above with her daughter, Bronwyn, ready for restful sleep). Catherine explains how we can take immediate steps to improve our sleep and gain a restful perspective as a result. Let us know what you think as we love hearing from our audience.
